Presian Burroughs offers workshops, online presentations, graduate courses, small group experiences, pilgrimages, publications, and blogs on the intersecting topics of Scripture, creation, and life. Her work illuminates and reflects upon our human relationships with the rest of God’s creation in light of the Christian Scriptures, history, and science.
She writes short pieces on biblical texts, ecological concerns, and practical matters of daily life, such as the foods we eat and recipes we make (“Blog“). Her published pieces and media presentations may be accessed under “publications.”

Presian fell in love with Scripture & creation while growing up on a small farm in northeast Ohio. She studied biology and bible in undergrad. Several years later, she received Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology degrees from Duke Divinity School. She is a scholar and educator of New Testament and Ecological Theology and aims to help people live gently in and with our earth home.
